We wanted to find a way to feed our family high-quality, sustainable foods and stay within our budget. The Community Grocer makes it easy!

Michael Menashy, Founder

Attempts have been made in the past through Facebook and Meet-up groups to make healthy eating affordable for those who needed assistance and this campaign aims to address the rising living costs in Vancouver. This campaign aims to support people who live by themselves, feed large families, neighbourhood cafes, and so many more will benefit from this Kickstarter.

At least 150 purchased memberships – which cost $50 on Kickstarter (or at CommunityGrocer.ca) – will enable the company to secure its facility located in the Mount Pleasant area of Vancouver, begin supplying initial non-perishable products, and ship online orders by June 1st. Live events beginning as soon as May will allow members to attend tasting parties to sample and score available products based on different criteria.
