Concord Pacific Place exploded Thursday, October 29th with the premiere of Cirque du Soleil’s latest extravaganza to hit Vancouver – KOOZA.
Cirque du Soleil is a Canadian created animal-free circus which explores ethereal worlds in big budget choreographed spectacles. This show is bright and beautifully intense and highlights the physical demands of human performance with compelling characters audience members of all ages can relate to.
KOOZA tells the story of The Innocent, a melancholy loner in search of his place in the world. Beginning alone with a lifeless kite, The Innocent is seduced by The Trickster who lures him into a fantasy world of acrobatic performances with a healthy dose of clowning around.
The premiere night was sponsored by numerous local businesses including the Savoury Chef, Kim Crawford winery and international destination – the country of Mexico. The ringside seats were flush with local personalities, athletes and media. Complimentary popcorn, soda, appetizers and wine thrilled the attendee’s appetites and made for a lighthearted atmosphere.
