Automotive enthusiasts and champagne lovers congregated at this years Luxury & Supercar Weekend event, on September 10th and 11th, at the gorgeous VanDusen Botanical Gardens. The event boasted over $200,000,000 worth of generally unobtainable luxury cars, 1970s muscle cars, the odd, the eclectic and the very cool collectibles. The eye-candy was extensive, both with the vehicles and on the runway at the Oakridge Fall Fashion Show.
Bugatti took everyone’s the breath away with the unveiling of its new Chiron model, which carries a price tag of $3M dollars.
Not to be outdone, Rolls Royce showed off their Wraith, in its west coast debut. With a price tag of $500K+, it is a nice mid-range vehicle!
One of our favourites was the Electra Meccanica Solo. A Canadian-made single occupant electric commuter car that will sell for for a little less than $20K.
We ran into our most fabulista friends – Darcy Kaser and Randall S MacDonald – who flew in for the event and to hit the west coast television and entertainment circuit. We spent some catch-up time with these two in the Veuve Clicquot lounge.
A few glasses of bubbly later and we were off to the Oakridge Centre Fall Fashion Show. Always beautifully styled with the top lines representing and the show did not disappoint with a mix of modern and classic for both women and men.
After the show, it was time to keep cruising – the grounds are extensive – and there were so many gorgeous cars tucked around every corner.
See you all next September for the Luxury & Supercar Weekend!
