#SecretsOfAStylist: The Choker – Fall Trend

Hi Everyone! Welcome back to this week’s Secrets of a Stylist! Even though my working trip to the beautiful country of Greece has come to an end, I am remembering fondly the country and the places our team visited for the music video shoots.

Since it is the start of Fashion Month (New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, Milano Moda Donna, Toronto Fashion Week),  I thought I would address one of the many trends that blew up on the 2015 Fall runways and now is being seen in full force on this year’s Spring runways showing this month – The Choker!

L-R: Harajuku in Tokyo, Unknown, rubber choker from UtopiaArmoury on etsy.

The choker is back and it is better and more versatile than ever. This little accessory has gone mainstream and it looks much better than it did in the 90’s! You can see them everywhere paired from swimwear to formal attire.

In this video I will give you a few tips on how to pair them, and how to work a choker with a few different outfits, to find that look that will work on you for sure.

The one thing to remember with fashion and trends is to just have fun with them. If you try on a choker with an outfit and it doesn’t work, don’t panic, try layering other necklaces or play with the outfit you have on. Change what you are wearing until you feel good! Go with your gut.

In the upcoming weeks I have some great new video’s coming up, one of them is my morning routine! So remember to check back in every Thursday and we can hang out.
