#TravelTipsTuesday: 5 Tips for Travelling with Kids

Just the thought of flying with kids is enough to make any parent break out in a cold sweat. Keeping children entertained in a confined space for an extended period is always a challenge! As the Canada day long weekend is looming, here are some tried and true quick tips for making travelling with kids a piece of cake.

Books, books, books

It is an oldie but a goodie! There is no better time to persuade your children to get into reading than when they are a captive audience. Whether getting them caught up on the latest summer blockbuster, or introducing them to an old favourite of your own. Reading is a great way to pass the time, while broadening their non-digital horizons.

Travel games
Before you go rushing out to the overpriced toy store try checking out your local thrift store. It is a wonderful way to get “new’ games to keep them entertained for the trip, and when they have played them to death, you can seek out a thrift store at your destination to drop them off and pick up something new for the return journey.#TravelTipsTuesday: Travelling with the Kids, Traveltipstuesday, Travelling with kids, Elastoplast, Michaels, Canada Day, family travel, flying with kids, featured, yvr blogger, entrepreneur, yvr fashion, follow your dreams, fashion, women in business, blogger, fblogger, blush, beauty products, skincare, travel, lifestyle, health and wellness, heathy eating, vegan, vegetarian, paleo, Vancouver, Victoria, yvr, vancity, westcoast, dominique hanke, retail shopping

What better way to get them excited about where they are vacationing than to get them to scrapbook all the places they will be going! Pick up travel pamphlets from the travel agent or airport and get stickers from your local craft store so they can participate in building their vacation.#TravelTipsTuesday: Travelling with the Kids, Traveltipstuesday, Travelling with kids, Elastoplast, Michaels, Canada Day, family travel, flying with kids, featured, yvr blogger, entrepreneur, yvr fashion, follow your dreams, fashion, women in business, blogger, fblogger, blush, beauty products, skincare, travel, lifestyle, health and wellness, heathy eating, vegan, vegetarian, paleo, Vancouver, Victoria, yvr, vancity, westcoast, dominique hanke, retail shopping
